I've answered all their questions though, and have tried to keep things moving in positive direction, and I understand that COVID-19 has impacted business operations, as have the holidays. I am now on my fourth EA Help representative. Every new message I receive is from a different representative who starts the support conversation back at square one, repeating ground I've already covered. I filed a ticket with EA Help (via help.ea.com) a few days ago, unfortunately, that appears to have stalled right now. My father has a TAVR operation tomorrow, which is going to limit my ability to follow up. The first few paragraphs are the current status below that are four underlined sections: 1) The troubleshooting steps I have taken 2) how to replicate this issue 3) what I think the root cause is 4) what I believe will fix this issue. This is going to be a bit lengthy, but I'm going to document where things currently stand, as well as key info. There must be an issue with how the Fate Edition is configured as a product or how it is being fulfilled. I definitely purchased the Fate Edition, as shown by my receipt (not to mention that there isn't currently an option on Origin to buy the Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning DLC without first owning the Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning base game) as well as shown by the editions purchasing options (screenshots Thanks for the reply. It doesn't recognize that I own the base game (screenshot included), but it does recognize that I own the Fatesworn DLC (screenshot included in next post). I have not received a response from THQ Nordic or Quantic Lab, and this game doesn't qualify for Origin's Great Game Guarantee.Įdit: looked at the Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning product page in the EA App. I also own the original EA-published version of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning on Origin (it's not currently installed, but the original works as expected), but I can't conceive that owning the original would have any impact on the Re-Reckoning Fate Edition remaster. If I click on the "Play on Origin" button via the Re-Reckoning Game Details page on, then the "Launch Origin" button, then the "Open Origin" button, it won't download via that method either. I checked the beta EA App client too, and the Fate Edition is not a game that is available in My Collection. I normally use the Origin client technical preview branch, but after encountering this issue, I did a clean installation of the release channel Origin client to see if it had any effect, and I still encountered the same problem. Yes, I have restarted my desktop computer, then relaunched the Origin client. To confirm have you restarted your device, then relaunched Origin to see if the game shows as download in your library? He suggested trying and the aforementioned THQ Nordic contact may be running into a separate issue if you purchased the Fatesworn edition during the holiday Sale and cannot download the game at all. com (without spaces).Įdit/Update: The managing director at Kaiko Games responded to an email I sent and stated, "unfortunately we are unable to help you with this issue, because we are just the developers of the game and did not configure it for Origin". Kaiko Games was the developer responsible for the remaster they can be emailed at info kaikogames. com (without spaces) as a support email for Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning on Steam, and it is possible the same company provides support services for Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning on Origin. I would try for support, as ivrognard mentioned. If you purchased the standard edition of Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning, do you have the option to purchase the Fatesworn DLC from within the Origin client (via the Extra Content tab when you view the Game Details page in your library in the Origin client) or via if you are signed in on (via the Extra Content tab when you view the Game Details page in your library on )? I tried the usual (clearing Origin's cache, etc) to no avail. There is a Details button instead of a Download button (attached image). The game isn't even downloadable for me, let alone the newly released Fatesworn DLC.
